Turning your assumptions about leadership upside down.

There is a lot out there on leadership, so why bother to write or read something else?

Well, there is a lot of training and coaching and tons of events and you still think you will do it your own way: differently, better, more creatively, whatever. It is important to me to say things out loud about leadership, hence the blogging. It is the means to a mission – Cultivating dynamic leadership and healthy organizations. You see, already tons of things to unpack there.

But essentially, these are the main reasons for me to start Leadershaker:

  1. In the Mindberries team together we have more than 70 (!!!) years of experience working as leaders or coaching, training and network them in all sectors internationally.
  2. We have a lot of stories we can all learn from and it is high time to share them, because we are sick and tired – hahaha, we will write about burning out as well! – of leaders not knowing this stuff. Joking, we love them not knowing!
  3. We want to make you STOP
  4. STOP
  5. STOP
  6. … and THINK
  7. Because without stopping and thinking you are using your autopilot, your assumptions, your instincts, unconscious biases which is not bad, but you need more to become a better leader. And honestly, look around! We really need them.
  8. We want to put a lot of ingredients into the mixer and shake it again and again to see the different colours and textures of our leadership cocktails. There are millions of ways and little tips you can try and play with and apply. We do not believe in the single skill or way you need to master. It is about the diversity of perspectives, the constant reflection that will take you forward.
  9. We love our stories of EMERGING leaders – the way people feel about growing into a role or preparing for it or accidentally or unwillingly finding themselves in it.
  10. We are inspired by our own LEARNING and that of others and we are privileged to have a lot to share, because leaders shared their CHALLENGES with us and we had our own.
  11. Last, but not least, we experienced the JOY of leading successfully. And that is thrilling.

All in all, in this blog you will get the spices, the fruits and vegetables, the liquids and the hard stuff. We hope to inspire you to take whatever you find useful from it.

Disclaimer: Please, stop reading if there is nothing you find here, because the first step to successful leadership is to be able to say no to things that do not support your development or personal well-being.

Good luck in Shaking your own Leadership.
